If you are looking for a gift for a friend (or yourself- you can use a treat every once in a while too, right?), check out this brand new shop – just opened in February- AtelierGilet. You’ll find stacks of awesome porcelain jewelry pins/brooches, from geometric shapes to quirky illustrations, handmade by Nadia Fava in Italy.

Aren’t these great? I love ‘em.

Nadia has other great gifts in her shop as well, if you’re looking for something even more unique…like these porcelain sculptures and speech bubbles. Lots of stuff to look at!

Stroll over to AtelierGilet on Etsy now + have a look around.

I almost can’t believe I am saying this, but yesterday it was warm outside. Warm in Seattle. In April! This is exciting.

Jeff and I were standing in line at the food truck by our house and I actually felt like I had too many layers on.  I have been missing the warm weather lately, so it was a welcomed change.

Has it been warming up in your neck of the woods too?

I am taking this as a sign that I might need those short sleeve shirts and tanks a little earlier than expected this year (I am crossing my fingers). It is spring after all. And I can always layer back up if I need to, right?

So what about these from GarbellaEach piece is hand screen-printed in Pittsburgh, after it’s been drawn and designed. AND they also have men’s apparel and super cute baby onesies (and bibs). One stop shopping – can’t hate on that. I love it.

And speaking of love…here’s a discount for you! Enjoy 10% off your order at Garbella for being a Papernstitch reader. Use coupon code ‘papernstitch’ at checkout.

Have a good one!

The pieces of jewelry that I wear most often are the ones that are fairly simple – good for everyday and work just as well for night time.

So I am sharing the work of Erica Burns today. Her jewelry is really nice, simple – not fussy, but still special and interesting. Here are my favs…

1. Leaf Hammered Earrings (inspired by the leaves she saw on a walk through her neighborhood one day) 2. Triple Barred Pearl Necklace (with teal freshwater pearls)

Give me simple over complicated any day of the week.

What about you?

If you’re anything like me, the word “pastel” has a sugary sweet, over-the-top girly ring to it that makes me nostalgic for the days when my mom would dress my twin sister and I in matching pink and yellow dresses. Ok, I lied, I’m not nostalgic for those days at all and for quite some time (due to emotional scarring for repeatedly being mistaken as a giant cupcake), I swore off all things pastel. I’m coming back around though and am approaching this season’s pastel trend with pieces that are restrained yet just sweet enough. A little goes a long way with pastels, don’t you think?

I get so excited when I see a shop that understands their brand and sticks to it so well, especially when it comes to jewelry (that can be tough to do).

Damsel of Dainty is definitely one of those shops doing it right.

Inge’s line of nature and fairytale inspired jewelry feels a bit magical to me, and that has everything to do with the way her products are presented. I know exactly what this brand is all about just from browsing just a few pages.

The product shots are beautiful. And the imagery has that same whimsical feeling that her products have.

And on another note… Igne is offering a discount to papernstitch readers right now! Receive 15% off your order at Damsel of Dainty with the coupon code PAPERNSTITCH at checkout.
