About

Hi! I’m Brittni Mehlhoff and I am the editor and owner of papernstitch the blog and the founder of the papernstitch exhibition site, where I promote talented artists and artisans like you.

I started this blog in 2008 to keep myself inspired and record the things that I found to be most interesting. As time went on, I became more and more passionate in helping others get their work seen and have been dedicating my life to this passion ever since.

I quit my job as a high school art teacher almost a year exactly from the time I started this blog, and never looked back. Now I work full-time on the papernstitch exhibition site and blog (promoting other makers, designers, artists, and vintage boutiques) and as a consultant for small businesses.

To keep in touch and up to date on the latest business articles for indie-preneurs, my handmade picks of the week, and more, join me (and over 7,400 others) on The Stitch now…It’s free.

I love social media and it is usually the best way to get in touch with me. Even better than email (especially twitter and facebook). So here are my links for social media. Hit me up here whenever you have a quick question or comment, and I’ll most likely respond right away.

twitter —  facebook —  you tube —  flickr —  linkedin —  pinterest

But if you’d prefer to email me, I would love to hear from you. So, if you want to chat, you can email me at brittni@papernstitch.com. I email back as many people as possible, but please keep in mind, I unfortunately cannot get back to every email personally.

More about the blog… The papernstitch blog is focused on crafty business advice, DIY projects, home decor, and of course, also features artists, makers, crafters, and indie labels. A little bit of everything. The blog is updated with new posts 2-4 times a day, Monday-Friday.

I also write for other blogs and sites… You can also find me on Scoutie Girl (every other Monday), where I write a bi-weekly art feature and on Oh Hello Friend (every other Friday) where I write a bi-weekly diy roundup. Previously, I have written regular columns for Bloesem KidsDujour Magazine, and Zibbet.

I’d love for you to come visit me on these blogs to say hello.

And don’t forget to join me on The Stitch… keep in touch and up to date on the latest business articles for indie-preneurs, my handmade picks of the week, and more…It’s free.
