About
Hi! I’m Brittni Mehlhoff and I am the editor and owner of papernstitch the blog and papernstitch the exhibition site. I started this blog in July of 2008 to keep myself inspired and record the things that I found to be most interesting. As time went on, I became more and more passionate in helping others get their work seen, as a struggling artist myself, and have been dedicating my life to this passion ever since. I quit my job as a high art teacher almost a year exactly from the time I started this blog, and never looked back. Now I work full-time on the papernstitch exhibition site, promoting other makers, designers, artists, and vintage boutiques.
And because I love sharing my thoughts and inspirations with others, I also write for several other blogs and sites. So, you can also find me on Scoutie Girl (every Monday), where I write a weekly art feature; the Dujour Magazine blog (every Wednesday), where I write a weekly feature on decor, design, and more; and the Zibbet blog (every Tuesday), where I write a weekly feature on design and style. I also previously wrote for Bloesem Kids, doing bi-weekly open house tours/ interviews with people who make cool goods for kids, which was a lot of fun.
Needless to say, I keep myself pretty busy. But I absolutely love what I do!
More about the blog… The papernstitch blog is focused on crafty business advice, DIY projects, fashion, home decor, and of course, also features artists, makers, crafters, and indie labels. A little bit of everything. The blog is updated with new posts 3-5 times a day, Monday-Friday.
I would love to hear from you, if you want to chat. You can email me at papernstitch{at}gmail.com.
