Bibliographica: Hand-bound Journals

Using reclaimed and recycled leathers, Louise Thompson of Bibliographica creates these beautiful, hand-bound journals, that look as though they have a story to tell, even before a single pen has touched the pages.

Top DIY Projects

I recently had the pleasure of being asked to participate in the Best of Blogs series for Top DIY Projects by the folks over at iVillage, and I was thrilled to see the results. My double duty dry erase board project, which you may remember seeing here a couple months back made the cut, alongside the likes of Design Sponge, How About Orange, and a handful of others.

I rounded up a few my favorites here. But there are fourteen projects in total to explore. So head on over when you have some time. I’d love to know what you think.

Fun Fashion: Purses by La Belette Rose

Have you seen La Belette Rose yet? I am in love with their new laser cut leather purses right now (especially this one). And get this, the patterns created from these cut designs were actually inspired by cement tiles from the designer’s childhood corridor. I love when makers intertwine their own personal history into their work. Don’t you?

Workspace Wednesday: Hint of Yellow

There is something about the color yellow that turns even the dullest of spaces into cheery ones at the drop of a dime. Its like little beams of sunshine. And what better place to infuse a little yellow, than the place you spend most of your time, like say a workspace for example. What do you think?
