It seems like everything I love these days is coming from California. And I guess I am on a jewelry kick today too given my post this morning was a ring diy. Anyway…

Here’s a shop out of LA for example that I check into every so often when I need a pick me up: Chocolate and Steel. This eco-friendly jewelry shop’s entire collection is handcrafted by Christine Street. And she often asks amazing illustrators to collaborate with her on new designs, which is my fav (collabs are awesome)!

Aside from teaming up with artists like Gemma Correll and Susie Ghahremani, Christine also takes great care to ensure that her process is not harming the environment (hence the eco-friendly line).

Here’s a quote from Christine’s shop about her commitment to eco…

My studio is run in the most eco-friendly way possible. Metal scraps are saved and reclaimed, no harsh chemicals are used and my studio is powered by 100% renewable energy sources including wind and solar power.

You’ll have to check out her shop to see all the adorable jewelry creations. It’s enough to make your head explode into tiny, baby kittens cuddled up on a pile of feathers. :) Too much? Well, while you’re there… Receive a 20% discount on your entire purchase with code “PAPERNSTITCH2012″ at checkout. Visit Chocolate and Steel on Etsy now to use your discount code.
