Pencils and paper are the new iPad.
Wait, what? Yeah, I said it. Sometimes technology just can’t beat the classics: good old fashion pen (or pencil) and paper.
I was just talking to someone last week about this very topic. And she said the same thing: There is just nothing else that compares to writing things down in a notepad or on a Post-It (that’s what I do), crossing off tasks as you finish them, writing a note to a friend…
If you disagree, you disagree. BUT if you are shaking your head in agreement right now, I highly recommend you head over to Write with Moxie: a shop dedicated to eco-friendly (and colorful) writing tools. It is the perfect fit for people like us. Lisa Bacon, founder of Write with Moxie, also carries a handful of super cute stamps in the shop and journals will be coming soon as well.
But, clearly, I am partial to the pencils. I mean come on, they are made from 100% recycled paper AND they come in tons of colors. Does it get any better?
*Write with Moxie is also on Etsy if you prefer to check out the collection there.
Curious to know…what color is your favorite?

October is here, fall is in full swing (at least here in Seattle), and the new papernstitch exhibition is here. I’d say its a pretty good way to start the week. And if you’re interested in getting to know some new shops this week, I have a handful of recommendations to get you started…
1. Wild Orange Studio: Beautiful photography from Lauren Mitchell.
2. SHE-SHE: A vibrant women’s clothing line based in Portland.
3. Tangerine: Handmade pillows and linens for the modern home.
4. Shannonblue Photography: More drool-worthy photos (and calendars too!).
Head over and check out the entire list of shops in the new exhibition when you have some time. I’ll think you’re going to love ‘em. Like this? Awesome! Help spread the word by clicking the social media buttons below and sharing this with your friends.
