The Spring 2011 runway was filled with neutral tones and blocks of vibrant color, and Costume National’s Ennio Capasa collection was no different. His use of matte colors including camel, sky blue, bright orange and fiery red gave us many interior design ideas. His philosophy for the collection was “minimal clothing in high impact colors.” We went in search of interior designs which embodied each runway outfit…

This sky blue pantsuit jumper from the Spring 2011 Ennino Capasa line is perfect for a brunch with friends or an evening date when paired with a colorful wrap in a contrasting fabric.

And this room, reminiscent of that blue jumper above with touches of blue and orange, is sure to inspire some serious decorating ideas.

The red flowing shift paired with turquoise accessories exudes comfort with a dash of excitement.
While the room on the right reminds us of Capasa’s brightly hued model. Found via blogger and color expert, Kristie Barnett.

Classic black never looked so good, as it does on this Costume National model. Modest flowing silk with a sexy translucent inset is both reserved and feminine, like the room on the right.
Stately black gloss mirror with unexpected chocolate brown accents is both refined and playful.

This billowy caftan is a brilliant shade of blue flowing effortlessly as the model walks. The sleeves start short and lengthen at the back of the arm for an unexpected touch.
While this room on the right looks like it was made for the model and her brightly colored lounge wear. Nothing boring going on here.

great post! i love all the dresses + interiors. bright and bold can be too much, but in this case, the rooms look very classy + simple.

Definitely, blue is the color for spring! I’ve seen it also in Paul Smith and YSL collections.
