This morning I am super excited and inspired. Must be these amazing prints I’ve been looking out lately from One Little Bird. Leanda uses digital collage from her favorite scanned ephemera and vintage etchings to create these beautiful, layered prints for her shop. And she has some other (more graphic) styles as well, if you prefer something with less dimension. Gorgeous work!

I’ve been working with Country Living magazine for months now on a brand new tutorial that was to be featured in an upcoming issue. And that upcoming issue is finally here! It’s the March issue of Country Living (I’m on page 56). The feature is called Get Crafty, and it features four bloggers and their “best” new projects. I am honored to be a part of it. Thank you Country Living.
If you get a chance to check it out, I’d love to know what you think of the project I completed (a sailor-inspired anchor paperweight). And if you aren’t able to read it, don’t worry. I’ll be posting the full tutorial for how to make your own golden paperweight in a couple weeks if you don’t get a chance to check out the mag.

I have been head over heals for the porcelain milk bottles (like these) that I’ve been spotting on numerous design blogs and such. As much as I would absolutely love to own a gazillion of them, I simply can’t find room in my ever so limited budget to splurge on a tiny bit of decor. Here’s the good news though… I’ve come up with a “fake it till you make it” solution!
All you need is… 1. milk bottles (or any glass bottle really) 2. spray primer (I love kilz and nothing else!)
And for the pom pom flowers… 1. pom poms 2. glue (almost any will do here) 3. twigs (free in your backyard… or perhaps your neighbors) and VOILA!!!
Here’s the how-to video along with a cute little song…
*You just want to make sure to do light coats of the primer to get that textured ceramic look and no drippies. Hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed doing it!

If you like sweet, lovely things (and who doesn’t?), you”ll adore these items from Lovemaki, a furnishings and print shop with great finds for you and your little one’s space. I absolutely love the cloud pillows. But the art prints are amazing too. This love / j’adore print is my fav (I featured on the blog last week, so I didn’t want to repeat with another photo of it, but it’s perfect). Love!
Would you outfit your child’s room with these unisex items?
I know I would, if I had any wee ones hanging around.

I fucking love red velvet cupcakes like this kid loves coloring. I mean I really, really L-O-V-E them. And because they are red and pretty (and delicious), they make the perfect Valentine’s Day gift. Jeff and I picked one up (or four) over the weekend from the world’s best cupcake shop and I just can’t stop myself from devouring them in a really unattractive way.
What is your favorite (absolutely can’t live without) sweet treat?
And on another note: This Wednesday, I’ll be releasing the full goals and tracking guide for Track This! with over 30 pages of business help for you and your small biz! More details to come. So, look out for that.
