Last week on Interior Obsessions with FormFire Glassworks, we took a look at a color re-gaining popularity in recent years, love-it-or-leave-it yellow. Many of you seemed to be really enamored of the color, especially when paired with grey. Today’s look is at another resurgence in interior design, the freestanding tub, and I’m interested to see what your take is on this bathroom centerpiece.
This is not your grandma’s old clawfoot, although I could certainly imagine one, especially set in a very simple bathroom setting. The tubs we’re looking at today range from modern sculptural forms to those created from stone slab material. A contemporary take on a traditional japanese wooden tub set off by a frame of river rocks is also thrown in the mix. Although you can use a freestanding tub in a smaller space, a little visual wiggle room is the key to showing off this piece as a focal point in your interior design. Raised on a platform or even given its own adjacent area, the freestanding tub can add that sense of a spa environment to your home.

Slivers of Light + Metal Framed

I am so thrilled to finally be able to share all our hard work with the newly designed papernstitch.com. Yeah! Its finally here.
Jeff did an awesome job streamlining the site and letting the products do the talking. We’ve added some new ways to shop…
So, in addition to the normal daily favorites and shop of the day, you can now search for shops on the exhibitors page in grid view and list view. And browse for exclusive discounts and more on our sales and promos page. We also have gift guides (which I am really excited about) and a few more things to check out.
I hope you will go and visit the new site and let me know what you think. Your feedback is always welcome!

I am going to make this week’s WW short and sweet, with this drool worthy workspace! There’s a lot to look at here: multiple work surfaces, cool chairs, plenty of storage, numbers as wall art…
What do you like about this space?
This morning, I said that I’ve been really busy. And last week, I mentioned that we’ve been keeping a big secret. So what’s going on? Well, for those that haven’t heard…
Papernstitch.com (the exhibition site) is getting a new look and some upgrades too!!! And its all going live tomorrow!
Jeff and I (mostly Jeff) have been working very hard to get everything done, and we are both really excited to be able to share it with everyone. So, make sure to check back tomorrow for the new look (I’ll be linking to it here on the blog). As for me, I have a few other projects I’ve been dedicating pretty much all of my time to lately. And I’ll be sharing that news as those projects roll out. Stay tuned for Workspace Wednesday in just a few hours.
Recently opened jewelry shop, The Home Ground, is definitely a shop to watch in the future. Not only does THG offer heirloom quality jewelry, each piece is treated as a work of art, with an edition number of between 10 and 20. So, there will never be more than a handful of each piece out there in the world. Making it even more special. How cool is that?
