Just wanted to remind anyone who is interested that there are only two days left to submit your shop for the autumn papernstitch exhibition. This exhibition will run from September 27th through October 24th. And all the details can be found here. You can read over our testimonials and press mentions to help you decide. Please note there is a small fee to participate and not all shops who submit are chosen.

Already been an exhibitor on papernstitch before? No need to fill out the form again. Just email me at brittni(at)papernstitch(dot)com and we will go from there.

“Take summer with you.”

Now that summer is officially over, I am welcoming those fall breezes and lowering temperatures with open arms. But I know it won’t be long until I am saying how much I miss the heat and  all that summer fun. Especially after looking at these brand new prints by Mina Georgescu of Depuis Decorative Photography and Minagraphy. They have a real summer vibe to them, don’t they? The colors are beautiful.

To view more of Mina Georgescu’s work visit Depuis Decorative Photography (etsy shop) and Minagraphy (website).

Last night, I discovered these new pieces from Judy Kaufmann, and I am already mapping out in my mind where I could put them in our house… Guess I should buy them first, huh?

Well, either way this print is at the top of my list. Which one is your favorite?

Today, instead of just a standard Workspace Wednesday post, we have something much better: a mini house tour (which includes workspace photos as well of course) of artists Carrie Strine and Tim Lahan‘s NYC apartment.

Carrie recently received her MFA from Massachusetts College of Art, and is busy working on projects in photography and handmade items. And she is also currently exhibiting her work on papernstitch. Tim works as a designer and illustrator for companies like Urban Outfitters, Nike, and The New York Times.

Their home is filled with beautiful light, and the simple white backdrop leads the way for pops of color to shine through. Such a cozy and inviting space. Check it out (oh, and click images for larger view)…

Thank you so much you two for sharing your home with us. Please visit Carrie Strine and Tim Lahan for more from these talented artists.

When the clock strikes 3:09 am tonight (or tomorrow morning depending on how you look at), Summer will officially come to an end marking the beginning of Fall. I thought what better way to celebrate the start of my favorite season by style swapping a perfect fall accessory, the sweater jacket.

Today’s Staple, Jacket C by Zarina, is a few steps up in warmth from the spring and summer cardigans you’ve been layering but not quite a coat, making it the perfect transition piece for the months ahead. When the days are still warm but the evening air starts to chill, this piece can be layered over a casual T and capri cords or your favorite sundress, extending the life of your summer wardrobe while keeping you feeling cozy and looking stylish.
