Since I missed Workspace Wednesday yesterday (sorry about that), I’d thought I’d share a little WW inspiration today: Double Workstations. Enjoy!

Let’s face it, most, if not all of us here, are crafters. Makers of some kind. We all love to do things with our hands, and I suspect many of us get pretty excited when it comes to buying supplies. Fabric is one of those craft supplies that I just can’t get enough of, even though I don’t actually sew. I realize my interest in fabric doesn’t make much sense in that case, but its true nonetheless.

I use fabrics for collage work and various other things that don’t involve a sewing machine, and I have piles (and I mean piles- I raided my grandma’s fabric closet last time I was there visiting) of it. In every color and pattern you could imagine. Which actually brings me to today’s shop of the day: Cottage Industrialist, a fabric, paper, and printable shop with loads of colorful items to explore. Hope you love it as much as I do. (special discount offer below)

Special Offer: Receive 10% off your entire order at Cottage Industrialist when you enter “PAPERNSTITCH” at checkout.

Visit Cottage Industrialist on Big Cartel to explore all this shop has to offer. And be sure to stop by the Cottage Industrialist website as well for thoughts on food, craft, life, and more.

This week, Room by Room with FormFire Glassworks takes a look at a contemporary but stylish addition to the modern home, the Modern Cellar Skylight Credenza.

Beautiful wood and clean lines are always a surefire hit, and the Skylight Credenza is no exception. Modern Cellar‘s functional walnut storage unit provides a place for 14 wine bottles with a glass viewing window on top for your favorites. Two lower drawers and two side doors that also include a space for 6 hanging wine glasses make this a great living room piece for the wine connoisseur. With a simple frame, overlay cabinet face, and a base that gives a tip of the hat to modernist danish design, this credenza fits in perfectly within your stylish decor.

Cocktail hour, a glass of wine with dinner, time to spend with friends – these are the inspirations for my handmade accessory choices. A muted print takes the onus of a choice away from your Bond fans, while letterpress coasters wish your visitors well. A bamboo cutting board provides a perfect place to cut up wedges and twists. A hand-turned palm wood corkscrew makes quick work of all the wine bottles, and a printed floursack tea towel makes cleanup a breeze.

Next week I will choose a new iconic piece and give you my picks for accessorizing your modern home.

Today is not quite going as expected. I’ll spare you the details, but it hasn’t been the greatest of days. Nothing major. Just exhausted and at a (mini) breaking point on this particularly gloomy day. Its been raining here for hours.

I tried to cheer up. I really did. Even went to my  ”go to” happy place, with no luck.

So, I am not going to be able to get around to Workspace Wednesday today. Maybe tomorrow?

We’ve got vintage pieces scattered all over our home, much to my husband’s dismay. And, as most hoarders collectors are, I am always on the look out for that next piece. Well, I happy to report that I’ve found another great source to keep on hand for my retro wares obsession: I’m So Vintage.

Visit I’m So Vintage on etsy to view more vintage items (18 pages worth to be exact).
