Today I am feeling inspired by a recently completed project (above) by Maria Gil Ulldemolins, who perhaps is most known for her hair portrait drawings.
The sculpture is entitled Man, I feel like a woman and explores the idea of femininity, usingĀ a lenghty process best described on Maria’s portfolio site. But basically, Maria has cross stitched an entire barbie doll. Incredible.
You can view more of Maria’s work on her portfolio site . And be sure to visit the Nosideup blog to catch up on what Maria is inspired by (it’s a great art blog).
