It takes a lot of work to make a house a home. Whether its decorating and re-decorating each and every room of your home, choosing between the perfect sofas, or attempting to find the “right” wall color for the third time (we ran into this problem with our dining room), it can be difficult to pull everything together. Not to mention costly.
Luckily we have an amazing giveaway that starts today from the folks at the allmodern.com family of sites that can help out with that. We are giving away one of these three items to a lucky winner (winner’s choice).
Here are your choices…
Option No. 1: Normann Copenhagen Herb Stand {retail value $63}
Option No. 2: iittala Alvar Aalto 3.75″ Water Green Vase {retail value $70}
Option No. 3: Areaware Bestow Vase/Candle Holder {retail value $75}
Here’s how to enter…
You can enter up to two times and there are three ways to enter.

Maureen commented on May 12th, 2010 at 5:05 pmWas already subscribed via feedly. I love the Alvar Aalto vase. Made me start a trip down to memory lane when we visited the iittala factory in Finland during a studytrip about 13 years ago.

krystine commented on May 12th, 2010 at 8:31 pmCongratulations on your 200th post and bloggaversary! Thank you for choosing a generous way of celebrating. My choice is the water green vase. It holds two necessities of life– water and flowers. Water for the body and flowers for the soul.
Mylyne commented on May 12th, 2010 at 9:39 pmFirst, I subscribe via Google Reader. (That bought me some time to decide on an item!)
Emily commented on May 12th, 2010 at 10:27 pmI think I’d have to go with the herb stand. I could probably grow cat grass in there, too, and the kitties love that! And maybe it will keep them from eating my fresh cut roses…
Emily commented on May 12th, 2010 at 10:28 pmMy husband also loves fresh herbs!
I subscribe to your blog
Thanks for the chance to win!
catherine s. commented on May 12th, 2010 at 10:40 pmI have sooo many vases so I would pick the herb stand – a must for summer
Thanks for the chance!!

Secondly, I could not live without Normann Copenhagen’s herb stand! I would use this to grow a chamomile and mint herb plant because it will provide me with a sense of calmness in my world filled of college term papers and exams chaos…sigh…
Lastly, I tweeted about this. Follow me if you please!

No. 3: Areaware Bestow Vase/Candle Holder
Because when I was a toddler, we had a foot statue that I would play with all the time, until suddenly one day I realised it was a foot, but assumed it was a REAL foot, and cried and screamed until someone took it away. To this day, I still don’t like feet, but hands however, what a great design! Reminds me of the hands from Jim Henson’s Labryinth.

I adore the hand… too cute!
Anna Marie commented on May 13th, 2010 at 1:29 pmThe Normann Copenhagen Herb Stand would be a dream come true in my kitchen. It is practical, functional, esthetically pleasing, and awesome! I can just see fresh mint and lemongrass on my counter! and love the little scissors that are right there attached to it. I would love to review/win that for sure.
Cathy B commented on May 13th, 2010 at 1:33 pmDon’t get me wrong, aquas, greens, and seablue glass are part of my coastal decor project.. and having spent much time in Finland, I truly love so many of their designs. this vase would look great in the sunroom… But, I also noticed it is a mini vase… only 3 inches high… so that limits its usage to nosegays or mini floral arrangements…hmm..or seashells!! smmiling)

Okay. I totally thought of some more ideas that I could use with the help of Normann Copenhagen’s Herb Stand. I would use it to grow pleasant herbs to make herbal tea! I think the herb stand would be a great benefit to my growth of herbs like lemongrass, rosehips, lavender, orange mint, ooh my all kinds!
Also, I tweeted about the giveaway to spread the word! http://twitter.com/acupofteaplz
And, subscribed.
Alexandra commented on May 14th, 2010 at 2:48 pmThe herb garden would be awesome but my cats would eat anything that grew out of it within seconds, so that’s no an option, which is okay because the Areaware Bestow Vase/Candle Holder is RIDONKULOUSLY AWESOME! I love unexpected stuff like that – throw people through a loop and make them laugh. I would totally drill a hole in the wall of my rental apartment and risk my landlady’s wrath for that item. For sure.
LisaB commented on May 16th, 2010 at 10:50 pmMeant to mention – I’m now a subscribed reader. =)
LisaB commented on May 16th, 2010 at 10:52 pmI like the Normann Copenhagen Herb Stand. Fresh herbs are so yummy, but it can be hard to keep a big bunch from spoiling before you use it all.

I think the hand vase is awesome, it sure captures eveyone’s attention but the Normann Copenhagen Herb Stand is something I could really use in my kitchen to have some aromatic herbs near when I cook!

Georgia commented on May 21st, 2010 at 1:16 pmMan do I love that areaware – hand/vase thing. It’s so WEIRD. I love having a relatively normal decor scheme going on and then throwing something completely unexpected into the mix. This item would be PERFECT!
