It’s no secret that I love the work of Shannon Rankin (of Selflesh). You may remember her work from our recent studio tour and interview. Ringing a bell? Well, one of things we talked about in our interview was a new collaboration project that she recently began with artist, Justin Richel, called Intersect. To celebrate this new venture, we are doing a total THREE giveaways (one each day for three days) here on papernstitch!
Today’s giveaway is for this Star Map Embroidered print from the Selflesh shop. The print is 8×10 inches and retails for $30.

Gorgeous work, I am stunned. I love the commission pieces, thinking about getting one done for Valentine’s Day. I’m also crazy about the framed dreamer map collage. The giveaway heart item is wonderful, I hope I win!

It’s hard to pic a favourite from such an amazing array of artworks but I really admire the custom piece Two Hearts. Perhaps it’s because of all the weddings I’ve been going to lately. It’s such an artful way to express the connection between two people, romantic or otherwise.

this is BEAUTIFUL and so different. i really love this piece and the Two Hearts piece in her shop. the simplicity of just 2 images on the page and yet the intricacy of the maps and threads encompasses the paradox of life and love. i love it.
