I love storage with pizazz. I spotted this funky wall storage unit called Imeuble on Swiss Miss. Designed by Bjørn Jørund Blikstad, a furniture designer and recent graduate of the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, this definitely isn’t your average shelf.

Have a warm and cheery holiday week!

Happy Monday! We got about 18 inches of snow where I live this weekend… so in honor of the weather, here are my picks for the warmest and coziest clothes of the season.
1. This wool-blend cardigan is delightfully disheveled – perfect for curling up by the fireplace with a cup of hot tea and a good book. Nestle & Nuzzle Cardi from Anthropologie, $69.95
2. These adorable cashmere arm warmers with leather bows will keep you toasty indoors or out. Arm warmers from Adventures of Jessica Rose, $65.
3. A chunky knit scarf is the perfect snow day accessory. This bright pink cabled version will brighten up even the gloomiest of days! Hand knit scarf from Bombshell Studios, $42.
4. I’ve been an opponent of Uggs for years… they might be the most comfortable things on earth, but they are terribly unflattering. If you want to wear shearling boots to keep your toes warm, invest in a stylish, streamlined pair like these that you can continue to wear for years to come. Bonus – they went on sale as I was compiling this post! Boots by Johnston & Murphy, $169.99.
5. The bow detail and French blue color make this knit beret is très chic. Beret from Urban Outfitters, $34.
6. This skirt is so pretty… the painted and appliquéd flowers and peekaboo lace at the hem make it super feminine, and the sweater knit material makes it warm as can be. Always A Lady skirt from Anthropologie, $148.

Shop of the Day: Very good friend of papernstitch, Noelle of Pink Bathtub, is today’s shop of the day. If you are ever searching for cute paper goods with that handmade touch, I would recommend visiting Noelle’s shop. She has everything from recipe cards and holiday tags to artwork and stationery sets. And every item is individually printed using hand carved blocks made from Noelle’s original designs.

Shop of the Day: Two friends living in Barakaldo decided to create Jositajosi a little over a year ago. The name, Jositajosi, comes from a childhood song from Basque Country and the shop specializes in sweet and simple sleeves for MacBooks, iPhones, and children clothes. Love the laptop covers- great gifts for the technology guru in your family.

If you’re on the hunt for a simple, inexpensive holiday decorating idea, why not try some snowflake garlands? I saw them on Design Crush and they really are as simple as they seem. Bugs and Fishes blogger Laura is in the midst of switching from curtains to blinds in her kitchen and is temporarily stuck with empty windows.
Solution? The same old-school paper fold-and-cut snowflakes you used to make in elementary school – lots of them – strung together -hung in front of a window. Voila! Instant holiday cheer.
Wishing you a warm and cheerful weekend!
