I am so, SO impressed with Christien Meindertsma’s work. Every project I look at from her website is intriguing, both conceptually and aesthetically.

You may already know of Christien’s work from the below project: the urchin poufs that have been making the blog rounds. Couldn’t resist reposting them.  I want one in every color!

alli coate

Have you seen these new soft drop pendants from Alli Coate yet? I just love them. Each pendant contains a little clay skeleton key or teardrop, and is then enclosed between two layers of fabric. This gives the fabric pendant a little bit of weight so that it hangs properly.

I think any of these would look wonderful with a really long chain and what a great gift it would be as well. Alli’s handmade pendants are available here and more images can be found here, on Alli’s blog.

justinrichelShop of the Day: Its hard to resist the unusual juxtapositions that Justin Richel is able to come up with: combing imagery from nature with manmade materials and mixing in indulgent treats (like donuts and cakes) with other inanimate objects.
