I spotted this sweet little Herb Stand on See Saw Designs.

Designed by Jakob Heiberg and available on Normann-Copenhagen, this clever item keeps herbs and scissors together to easily season food at any time. I’m such a fan of design that’s simultaneously functional and attractive.

Have a lovely weekend!

Shop of the Day: I just bought this painting from Anna Slezak not too long ago, and I love it! Its even more rich in color in person, and is hung right next to my desk, so I can look at it all day.
Anna is a 22 year old painter, who grew up watching her mother paint in the studio (her dad is an artist as well). She certainly inherited the artist gene and paints beautifully imaginative abstract works, as well as figurative pieces, and expressive portraits. And we are lucky enough to have a special discount available to us from Anna’s shop…
Exclusive Discount: Shop the artwork and accessories of Anna Slezak and get 20% off your entire purchase by using the discount code papernstitch at checkout.

These comfy dresses from Very Purple Person are adorable. While each dress is fairly basic in shape, the detailing (like the ruffled sleeves that look like wings and back openings with bows) is what really make these pieces special. Each dress is one of a kind and can be worn as a mini dress or as a tunic for layering.

This week, Room by Room with FormFire Glassworks looks at superstar of the modern architecture world, Le Corbusier’s LC2, also known as the ‘Petit Confort.’
Designed in 1928 in collaboration with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, the ‘Petit Confort’ has been gracing the homes and hotels of modern furniture lovers ever since. With its boxy look and plush seating, it is available in three sizes, from a single chair to a 3-seater sofa, and has a matching ottoman. The bent metal frame that encloses the upholstery is available in chrome or colored enamel, while the seats are available in a wide range of leather and fabric choices. Manufactured by Cassina, this piece manages to combine clean simple lines with the comfort of a more standard plush chair.
Typically shown in black or white, this chair inspired a monochromatic look at some handmade items for your modern home. A grey felt bowl echoes the simplicity of the form while retaining textural interest. A spiky print is a counterpoint to the smooth lines of the chair, while an etched black tray evokes its smooth curves. An embellished pillow gives some subtle elegance without being overly simplistic. A ceramic bowl is just as beautiful from the bottom as it is from the top.
Next week I will choose a new iconic piece and give you my picks for accessorizing your modern home.
