As a girl who likes to shop, I can confidently say there is no such thing as enough storage space. And if, like me, your closet overfloweth, perhaps you need to get in touch with Jephte Francissen.

Spotted on Dezeen, the Hoog en Droog (“High and Dry”) storage system was created using leftover pieces of wood from a furniture maker. The wooden storage crates feature a hoist system that allows them to be raised towards the ceiling and out of the way.

In short, “Hoog en Droog is an attic for clutter for people with clutter but no attic.”

Genius, I say, genius!

This is a wonderful idea…I want to try it in my new place!
Kimberly Creagan commented on October 27th, 2009 at 2:29 pmOh my goodness, I definitely need something like that in my apartment, as we only have one closet to hold ALL clothes, shoes, and storage items.
And it just creates an interesting space…I probably wouldn’t push them up very often
