This morning we have another wonderful giveaway that outdoor lovers especially are really going to enjoy! Today’s giveaway is from textile extraordinaire, Leanne Graeff, who has generously provided a set of three of her camp tea towels (camper, canoe, and tent) for one lucky winner. An over $40 retail value!

Love this work! I checked out the shop, and I adore the cap original fabrics! I would love to make pillows out of the fabric with the little campers!
My favorite part of camping is the smell. I know it’s weird, but tents and sleeping bags, lifejackets- they have a nostalgic scent to me. And I adore the smell of a campfire.

we love to camp, but like to do it in comfort
cushy mattress, nice linens, good food…so usually it’s great! my least fave part is the inevitable dampness you feel when camping in the pacific northwest, whether it’s raining or not.

The worst part about camping is packing and unpacking. Oh, to be a kid again where all you have to do is show up and stay out of the way.

My favourite thing about camping is, that you can leave civilisation behind, in a cultural sense as well. And it is a very good and effective way of discovering others and yourself: how you (and others) react in situations, when civilisation (like comfort, towns etc) are not there to help you.
My least favourite thing about camping is when insects try to sleep with me

I have lots of favorite things about camping. Being able to see the stars so clearly, sitting around a campfire drinking a beer, being in nature. Great giveaway, those tea towels are super cute.

1) I like her My Heart is Yours tea towel. This would make a nice gift for my Grandmother whose birthday falls around Valentine’s Day.
2) The best part about camping is:
Eating a stove-cooked meal after a long day of hiking, watching the sunset, sitting around the campfire talking or making music, and looking up at the stars.
It fills you with love for life.

My husband and I (along with 3 dogs and a love bird) go camping at least every 2 months around Florida. It is only time I actually sit and do nothing. So I guess that is my favorite thing about camping…doing nothing.

My favourite thing about camping is taking my Nephew to places he’s never been. Get him out of the city and away from his mom. Let him be a little boy. We lay under trees, catch frogs, photograph mushrooms at his request, and I teach him the basics of life. Camping is a priviledge that some can only hope for.

I absolutely love the camper print! It looks just like the camper that my fiance just brought home from his grandparent’s in Pennsylvania! The thing I love most about camping is the fishing I get to do while I’m outdoors!

My favorite part of camping is the smell of a bonfire. There is nothing in the city that can equal the smell of smoke and nature.
My least favorite part? Lack of decent washroom facilities. Sorry, but I have much love and respect for indoor plumbing!

My favorite part about camping is waking up to the aroma of fresh brewed coffee. Although, I’m a tea drinker, I love the smell of coffee in the morning when we are out camping.

My absolutely LOVE camping! We go to a different place every summer, we’ve been to South East Missouri (Sam Baker State Park), Stockton Lake in Missouri, South Dakota, Colorado, Arkansas, and lots of other places in Missouri (where we’re from). So I guess that is my favorite part of camping– getting to experience living with nature in different places!

I love Leanne’s block prints!!. Looks like some Christmas presents to me!! I thought the puppy love dish towel was my favorite until I spied the tractor!!! I grew up in a farm machine dealer family and love all the old farm machines, emplements and barns!!

Now.. because I want new tea towels!!!.. on to the Camping.. I love being outdoors, the smells and the quiet at night, but don’t go camping any more- too old to tote all the stuff and then wake up all stiff from sleeping on the ground and tote it out.. But the worst part was always putting things away after having all that fun!! cooking over the open fire, gathering berries, keeping the beer cold in the stream.. All good!!

Beyond the s’mores,(and you can make them quite easily over a candle!) there’s nothing I like about camping! Lots not to like though, outhouse bathrooms, bugs, fire bans, wasps that just.won’t.quit. Love the ‘puppy love’ tea towel!

leave favorite: lack of bathrooms or if they have them, horribly dirty bathrooms!!! and if you have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. YIKES!
favorite: when the sun sets and you’re sitting around the campfire and laughing and singing songs and making smores and drinking hot cocoa and have amazing talks with amazing people and you realize that this is a moment you’ll never forget.

My favorite part of camping is having a meal cooked over a fire, because usually you are so tired and hungry by the time it’s done it is the best meal ever. My least favorite is not being able to bath – I feel super yucky.
