Here’s a little peak into the world that is the ever-talented, Sarah Watts. I found her artwork first through her blog, 14Watts, but she’s recently gotten around to getting an Etsy shop! Hooray! (I may be a little behind on the recently, but it was within the last six months or so).

Her work is so fun and colorful. Almost darkly humorous in a way. She used to do a feature on her blog about useless talents, where she took submissions from readers and then illustrated them into utmost hilarity. They are really a must-see, and also the first thing of hers that I discovered.

She also has a twitter, along with her blog and shop, and another website (called Jooperwits) where she has a daily comic. Check her out!

Hope you’re having a great week!

new look for papernstitch

I cannot even begin to come up with words for how excited I am about the new version of papernstitch, which just launched TODAY, along with the newest exhibition. We have added new features, including daily favorites, which you can see above, as well as a search bar to make shopping easier, and of course the new look. What do you think? We would love to get some feedback.

one-week1

One Week

Sometimes we all need a reminder to cut back – to really think about the things we’re buying and consider whether this one blouse or pair of sunglasses is really going to make or break our day (or maybe just the bank).

two-weeksTwo weeks

Kate Bingaman-Burt is currently hand-drawing all of her credit card statements until they’re paid off. A very effective idea for those of us who are visual learners, don’t you think?

one-monthOne Month

The drawings are currently available on 20×200, and document the things that Kate bought over the course of one week, two weeks, one month and four months in the summer of 2009.
