You may remember the work of Janelle Lile from thisĀ Scoutie Girl post a couple of months ago. And now Janelle, has been kind enough to share more of her organic, plant life series with us. Janelle is a Seattle-based artist, and her current work is about getting acquainted with her new home by recording the unfamiliar plants in the garden and in the woods as they’ve appeared.

I love Janelle’s use of negative space. It allows the viewer to complete the image themselves. And her limited use of color is really beautiful.

Visit Janelle’s site, shop, and blog for more info.

Oh! These are so enjoyable. There is an effortlessness about them.
