lobster-and-swan-cupcake-card-21

These hand-stitched cupcake postcards are too tasty for words.  Found on Lobster and Swan, the crafty blogstress herself creates each piece with fabric scraps, and a cherry button on top.

pns-staple2

Happy Thursday, everyone! Nicole of Lillyella here with this week’s Style Swap. The versatility of a tunic is nearly unmatchable and with so many styles to choose from, you’re bound to find one that you love. They’re perfect for those days when you want to be stylish but are wishing you could wear baggy sweatpants and an old tshirt all day. Yes, some tunics can look like you threw a potato sac over your head and add 10 pounds to your midsection, but find a style with some interesting detailing and shape to it, such as this week’s Staple, the Boston Tunic by Flutter, and it will keep you looking great and feeling comfortable from from work to play. Heck, you could probably even sleep in it.

blue coleman cooler

It was 80 degrees in Chicago yesterday, which means the final end of winter and the beginning of summer.  (We have no spring here as it’s always apt to snow in April.  Once 40-degree weather ends, 80-degree weather begins.)

And this Memorial Day, what better way to show up in style to a barbeque than with a vintage Coleman cooler?  Everyone will be jealous.

But I can hear you squirming now — whatever will you do with the hulking piece of metal come wintertime?  Well gather ’round to hear my Martha Stewart solution — it’s real simple.

Use it to store your hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, ice scrapers, lock de-icer, dog booties, sidewalk salt and whatever other winter unsightlies create that post-November clutter in your mud room, porch or entryway.  Or you can use it for an emergency kit storage in the trunk of your car.  Flashlight, rope, kitty litter, first aid kit, blanket, batteries, astronaut ice cream, motor oil — all of it snuggly and out-of-sight in your sleek, retro, genius storage system.

Maybe you should buy two?

Hello!
It’s Angie of …pangea! once again bringing you your weekly dose of sweet illustrations. This week, the feature is a little shop called FreyaArt, and it’s absolutely delightful.

My fiance and I have been talking about vow-writing and such, so I’m particularly keen on these sweet sentiments she weaves into her illustrations. There are a lot more really cute ones in her shop too, so don’t forget to check them out!

She has a separate website outside of etsy as well, that is adorably put together, and it has lots more really awesome artwork that is definitely worth checking out! Click here or visit http://www.freya-art.com. :)

Hope everyone’s having a great Memorial Day Weekend and I’ll see you back here next Wednesday!
