My new Scoutie Girl post is up and this one is near and dear to me because I decided to feature artists that live here in Jacksonville. I admire all four of these guys, especially Dustin Harewood (number 2), who I met when I was still in college through one of my professors. I am really hoping to add one of his pieces to my tiny collection soon, but I would be lucky to have any one of these works. For all the info, including links, click here.
Bird in Tree Letterpress Flags from Blackbird Letterpress
Kathryn of Blackbird Letterpress has the coolest shop, stocked with lovely paper goods like the letterpress flags above. And guess what? We are offering those sweet tweets (sorry- couldn’t resist) for FREE to one lucky reader. I don’t think we have ever had a giveaway for letterpress before, so I am super excited. And these flags would be perfect in a red kitchen over the cookbooks or they’ll add color to a neutral hallway. Don’t you think? Each strand is approximately 3.5 feet long. More info…
How do I enter? It’s simple. Visit the Blackbird Letterpress shop, find you favorite item or items and then come back here and leave a comment with the url and why you like it. Don’t worry- short and sweet is fine. Each person may comment up to two times. The giveaway ends on Friday, April 10th at 8pm. Good luck!

Vadjutka’s tag line says it all,”Jewelry with personality”. I couldn’t have said it better myself. The combination of soft fabrics and hard metals is a welcomed change to typical beaded necklaces and earrings. It’s s a little bit feminine and a little bit boho-sheik. Visit the Vadjutka shop for more great finds.

Photo Ops Tutorial from ReadyMade
Over the weekend, my fingertips were itching for a little diy project, so I searched for a couple, and here is what I found: a super easy project from ReadyMade mag for photo silhouettes. The final product is so sweet and this project could not be any easier! Check out the full tutorial right here.

Amy of Pikaland was sweet enough to be our next curator for Friend Favs on papernstitch, and her picks just went live on the site. Amy always has the best illustrative inspirations on her blog, and so I am just tickled to have her as a guest curator this month! You can see all of Amy’s papernstitch picks right here.
