Archive for February, 2009
We are now accepting submissions for the next papernstitch exhibition, which will open on February 23rd and run through March 22nd. We are looking for shops to feature in the following categories: Art (photography, ceramics, sculpture, prints and original paintings and drawings), Clothing (adult or child), Accessories (bags, scarves, belts, etc), Jewelry, Paper Goods (stationery, cards, notebooks, invites, etc), Home Goods (decor, pillows, knick knacks, etc), and Vintage.
It’s really easy to submit your shop, but you better hurry because the deadline for entries is this Friday, February 20th! Stay tuned tomorrow for information on our newest addition: the Etsy import tool! It’s going to be awesome!

My newest Scoutie Girl post went up yesterday and its about the work of Maria Gil Ulldemolins, of Nosideup. I love, love, love her work. Click here to read the full story.

These Bosse animal figures from Design within Reach are quickly becoming my guilty pleasure. They’re slightly out of my price range (as most things from DWR are) but I love them. They are super cute and are made of brass. I think my favorite is the fox, but I honestly love them all. These would look great in a cluster on the fireplace or coffee table. You can check them out right here.

I found this artist, Peter Byrne, one day while browsing Aesthetic Outburst. His open source series is gorgeous and actually reminds me of a shape series I did when I was in college, although these pieces are way more awesome! You’ve got to check them out!

I am adoring Kris’s Color Stripes (KCS) blog this week. Kris, the author of the blog who lives in Italy, is an artist and fashion designer with a passion for home design. She also has a lovely shop right here that features notebooks, prints, and little mushroom figurines. KCS is a color diary that pulls colors from photographs to create picture perfect color schemes. Endless inspiration, like the one below! Check out the blog of the week right here.
